Finding New Music

In older days, one experienced to go out and physically search for new music, either at the store or at a live show. That method is obsolete. Today, you can find all types of new and unheard of music at the click of a mouse. The history music store is away and buying online is in. Right now there are many websites like Bandcamp and Beatport offering downloadable content at the same price as an music CD. The edge here is that you don’t have to waste materials valuable time getting to the store and you do not have to worry about your purchase getting damaged in any way. Each site has its own search engine if you are looking for something in particular, and you could flick through a number of categories such as release date, genre, etc. Get soundcloud downloads to buy

Another good thing about installing music from the internet is that websites like these will show you albums that are related to your search somehow or other. It could be by the same artist, or it could be the same genre, or it could even be an entirely different artist and genre that happens to have the same name (This has happened to myself by the way). In this spirit, you can sit at your laptop or computer the complete day, just exploring all the related albums the website throws at you. Usually, you might not exactly find something that will interest you, however when you do, you will feel that the wasted hours were worth it.

Popular cultural networking sites are also good sources of new underground music. Every major artist, and therefore every small-time artist, has a Facebook page, a SoundCloud page, a YouTube site, a MySpace page, a ReverbNation page and possibly more pages than My spouse and i care to find out about, though Facebook and MySpace must not be taken too seriously; Fb, because everyone is so lost in their own pseudo personal virtual lives that any music on the site usually comes on deaf ears, and; MySpace, due to quality and format restrictions – Zero one wants to listen to cheap MP3’s when you get loss-less audio tracks on SoundCloud.

YouTube and SoundCloud are, in my simple opinion, the most reliable sources for good, unique music simply because which the actual were made for – media sharing. When ever someone logs in to one of these sites, you can make certain that their only aim is to find music.

SoundCloud even gives you the option of downloading straight from the website. If the uploader has enabled downloads available for his upload, that is. Many DJ’s are using this with their edge by uploading their live sets for promotional purposes. Independent producers, as well, are uploading their original music and enabling for downloading, as a kind of surprise to their fans on SoundCloud for promoting them and spreading their music. There is also ‘buy’ links to some tracks depending on whether the uploader has inserted one or not. This will probably lead you back to the popular pay sites like Beatport or iTunes.
